Slow and steady make FAT twin R1 bus exhaust
right here we have some pictures of the beast once again, as you may remember we have been at this stage already once, and know firmly know titanium and stainless will NOT weld. ( thanks to simon) so as you can see i now need ben to turn up for a final fitting and then we can weld her up.
the debate is now that the centres look so nice would it be a shame to cover them with an alluminium cap that is painted, as a descison must be made before welding, as they are either on or off. you decide??? dont know how to do a poll or i would.
2 end cap or not 2 end cap that is the question....The stainless ends look hardcore but also refined. Not very retro, but very intelligent, modern and unrustable!!! Maybe a simple stainless endcap at the outlet end? As in a simple disc or to get the original ally ones spun (to remove the paint not polished)and fitted with bolts to give it some consistancy???
What are you talking about, there fab what top quality workmanship, remember they came from an R1 and should keep the cans colour, as a statement to all who are interested,I love them.
