27th Update

 I think hes taking this cling filmed engine thing a little too far!!!!

 All primered and a spot of seam sealant.

 A bling engine!!!

 And a complete VW side panel (LHD) so the lower half under swage is identical.

It even has the inner ribs to work with? Backwards again damm.

Zinc Lacquer

 So took some time ware and gave it a scotch guard and a quick lacquer and it look good, a very light silver metallic. What do you think??

1641 high lift cams 4 into 1 and twin carbs to fit next

Heh heh second stage build on the new engine all done! Tomorrow it goes in and gets fired up for the summer ... snowy rides again ... inshallah

N/S Done?

 New seat belt mount.

 Small edge repair to cab floor.

 New Jacking point front and other detailed repairs to copy original profiles.

Still needs detail grinding, and seaming etc. So I think thats it for the N/S lower.

Cracking On

 Inner valance repair to lower edge.

 Centre outer panel and repairs to lower rear quarters.

 Inner valance 2mm metal repair.

 O/S inner tub.

So as you can see lots of progress, but hard work.

Wow , Im completly exhausted. so much so I cant tell if Im pleased  with the results yet!!!

New side  belly pans will make things tidy.

 New inner n/s wheel tub.

 All ready for outer skin.

 Outer on.

 Lower n/s rear quater out and in.

 A good match and weld.

 New battery tray, wheel tub inner and outer and lower rear quarter>???
