Good Memories

A bus gathering for my last birthday, good company and good memories.
Some quality blurred piccies also.

How cosy!!!

Also sounds good too!!

Removing Underseal.

Outer sill is pretty good but the rubber recess has gone through.
Inner center sill look quite solid and could probably stay...inner outer sill is shot.
Rear and front jacking points need replacing.

Finally starting to shift that underseal. Started to remove old inner wheel arch repair plate to find it has created problems.

Small rust hole between cab floor and wheel arch, thats about it, with near complete B post outer and healthy front arches. So far!!!!

Working late..........where are the other VumplestiltWagens now????
This is not much fun, and slow progress.

When Time Becomes a Loop, When Time Becomes a Loop!!

Solid inner cabloading floor still with all paint from 8 years ago.Cut out poor repairs from first resto. I think I need a new inner wheel arch :(MMMMM.....................Tin worm has been hungry!! Ouch that could have really hurt!!! Pulled out seatbelt mounting point by hand!!

Really solid cab floor and inner wheel tubs minus a couple of seatbelt mounts.

1 original j point is gone but thats about the lot as far as cross riggers, chassis rails etc.

Clean above gear box.

Good solid front, including lamp recesses, air vents and outer deformation panel. Considering the £800 originally spent on the purchase and the fact that I restored her with no prior knowledge and only a can opener and a aerosol she is looking pretty solid..........Just in time for a proper restoration!!!

Stock vw t2 engine rebuild 2

Had to use a home built, flywheel locking tool, and a new breaker bar, to free the flywheel bolt. Finally split the cased to see mildly worn main bearings but an obviously worn cam and cam followers.
