My Past VeeDubs

Here are are a few images of my past VW history. Where are they now? Just remember never to sell your past cars you love. Regret by the bucket load.

My first Car! 1966 with only 56,000 miles on the clock. Where is she now?

1972 Bay Window Van. Loads of work done on "lumpy" The DIY roof conversion was fun! Cutting the hole in the roof was very scary! Viking roof was great. So many happy journeys and memories!

Another one that got away. Cannot believe how much rust was cut away and new metal was welded in. Never finished her as life got in the way.

Just remember never to let them slip away from you as you act in haste and repent in leisure!

  1. Ah mate they are fantastic pics! You took me to my first 1/4 mile strip in your 66 bug after you fitted a 1641 to it... then shreaded 3rd gear on the drag strip!!! Thanks for sharing... loads of fond memories :) it's given me the resolve I needed to get Ruby done for the summer.

  2. Fantastic, I remember, as a student, you returning from Europe to School Street, Lufbra, really pissed off as the swiss refused entry of your campervan to their roads, something about unfit for use!!!!

    1. Thanks. Great memories of great trips. Even though the vehicles have long gone the memories live on.

Europe trip in the van was the best ever. France,Belgium, lux, Germany and Holland. The swiss would not let us in due to the lack of bumpers! That and the 4-1 exhaust system sticking out.
