Nissen Hut Progress
Finally sealed up the front end, using only the breathable sheeting at the moment - needs timber cladding on the out side as the final finish.
Started on the partition wall between the garage and the pottery.
Got the Heathrow Terminal sign up for a laugh.
Looking cozy, two buses in a tin can!!!

VW Baywindow Front Beam Swivel Pin
New pin going in with spring washer at base only (late bay). Top seal on (soak in hot water first)
Tools used, an improvised affair. Just use some threaded bar, a socket and some spacers to pull the bushes down and out. This technique works as well at refitting, check correct alignment of bushes before applying pressure.
All fitted back. Top arm, ball joints, grease nipple, dust caps and steering damper.
On final fitment of swivel arm, use the old steel top dust cover and a suitable c clamp to ensure the correct pressure on the lower spring washer by pulling it all up. Also be careful with the alignment of the swivel arm bolt, if this is not done you will either damage the bolt, the arm and or suffer a loud thump when you hit a bump!!!
Big improvement on the sway when hit by side winds!!!

Back of the passenger side front door painted ...
The Mausgrau looking very nice and grey now I'm painting doors and I've got some natural light to work by. Infrared lights scavenged from a skip make a huge difference to the heat in the shed now, thanks to OCD1 for sorting those out.
