Big end gone, need funds quick! Who wants a Caravelle GL 2.1 Auto?

Finally stuck the silver machine up for sale on eBay :(  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301792338288

With that big CJ engine matched to the auto box, it's had little wear. Ripe for an LPG conversion.

The big end went on the Syncro last week, so it's costing over £1,250 to get a re-manufactured AAZ engine from AW Engineering in Lancs, then £750 to be installed and tested by Lindley Engineering in Basford. Both highly recommended, but you get what you pay for! This means we'll have a decent reliable and simple TD in the syncro for our expeditions... Who fancies a trip up to Scotland this winter to test it out?!?

Oh, and yes, the bullbar is coming off the caravelle and going on the pickup! I'm resisting temptation to nick the square lights, but it would ruin the van!

Beetle Kraft Werk

Got a decent gauge of pressing, but with modern square cut steering box hole......
Nose inner really is bad with the front frame mounts really bitten into.....
Chop the new panel apart and save as much of your classic wagon as possible....Fundamental law.
 So all sold and sealed.

Finally primed the inside of the bonnet area....looking very clean now.

Pushing Ahead

seam sealer washed in with solvent
 Passenger door overhauled seamsealed etc.
Started on door filler work including cargo.
 Really taking shape now.
Decided to cut the original upper panel seal in and seal it, the clean the vents back to metal saving time on the clean down. Top vent shows layers of paint!
 Bumper getting attention also.
Engine deck lid inner primed and sealed, needs sealing inside the engine bay area.

Undersides ready for some stone chip seal.
