VW Zinc Coated

This is the Hot Zinc process in action.
A reel of zinc wire if feed through a flame to melt it whilst compressed air then disperses it.

 Good image of the gun.

Front Beam for OCD1

This lowered beam has no rot, so could be a great one to cut off the bump stop?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Camper-Type-2-Bus-lowered-Beam-/180705643021?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2a12e54a0d&autorefresh=true#ht_500wt_1156

Been lowered by cut and twist method, so probably knackered!
I'm bidding £15 at the mo, it's only up in Leeds (an hour away from here)

VW 2.0ltr Gearbox Overhaul

A whole box full of zinked bits.
The old weller wheels all blasted and zinked.
the same parts all now 2k primered. Its like some kind of fine art installation.
and now in L41 vw satin black 2K.
So the old two liter box has been leaking for ages on both drive shafts. So plugs out and then remove circlips.
Dot punched and counted out the pre load on the covers.... seven rotations on mine, had to use a wooden chisel to drive out anticlockwise.
Utilised a caliper piston tool to get a firm grip and for ease of rotation.
Out, now both the oil seal is easy to remove from behind and the old o ring is visable on the very upper ring of the cover.
Gear box all painted in none brake and clutch cleaner removable paint!!!
