VW Beetle Werk
So fitted a found couple of steel frames and welded em in plus a couple of cross braces.
And then roll over with just a single mattress in place to cushion the upper gutter edge.
Lean back at the tipping point.
On the floor supported for heater channel replacement on one side.
Really considered the tradition of only repair, but with some many sections poorly repaired previously i don't have much choice, the good news is that auto-craft already do the lower closure panel repair. VW Heritage have 1 last right original...... for £250!! Not sure what to do now....she don't warrant such heritage.....re-pros are all around £100..............comments please...sponsorship of purchasing such an original part please register your interest with heritage!!!! I will upload the process for free as always!!!
Bit a clean acid and primer.
whole heater channel out, not much to it but so integral to the cars structure and strength.
inner post is solid but the inner hinge skin is gone, lots of choice here from red red to autocraft repairs, spoilt for choice here! What a small benifit, having exposed all this i noticed that the lower hinge thread is gone, so an easy repair now!!! Needs a small lower outer wheel arch repair once the heater channel is fitted.
Lots of work to do on this rear quarter, so much am considering an whole new side at £ 340....genuine of course. Good repair lower body section only at £20??? then the bits for rear wheel arch and rear bumper mounts........mmmmmm

Bikini Black Alpha
Security state has gone up a scale with the old cold war sign up complete with old red flashing light!!
New stoneware Pottery Cams in place, a wonderful cartoon styled piece that is quite convincing from a distance!!!
Glass eye piece and sensor really finish it off. Just need to do my Tincan logo on the front doors now and some old garage type sign writing...."Aircooled service, repair and shit" type nonsense.

Split Screen Engine Lid Hinge Panel Replacement
Original panel drill and chisel removal method. Cleaned acid washed, and zinc primered.
Lovely Autocraft panels.
Took massive amounts of panel beating to get the rear cargo floor straight again but it looks brilliant.
Nice door alignment.
WOW, is that an early splitty panelvan???
Window frames stripped down for painting and loads a new rubbers!!
Nice new chrome quarter lights and a front window pop out kit, including a rear one??????

MGB GT RESTORED BY OCD VW
Finally back, its time for a bit of the Austin Powers feel, yeah baby!!!
Rear title details, plus inner seals.
Side rivets in plus a few extra missing ones, scary moment on that paint work....
Grill bumpers and lamps. Windscreen in and seals and trim but not fitting well, so new rear and front rubbers.
More bloody drilling. Plus the other side.
Sheared the quarter light when removing seized nut, so welded in a cut bolt thread.
New quarter light seals plus plenty a grease on the threaded spring shafts.
Washed and polished, looking good matey.
Good reflections. Purchased a bag load of rubbers and fitting from MG Bee Hive.....sorted little place, all on the shelf's and a cup a coffee!!!.
So my little friend........fancy a drive???
