Final R1 mods.

A close up of the anti vibration mount , utilising the original bumper mount hole.

The sound in this video still does not do it justice, it has to be heard in real time to appreciate the full sound. I was driving at around 40mph with my windows closed and i could hear birds singing!!!!! It is sooo quiet, it purrs.

  2. No, not as yet. This is a point I have not fully considered. My initial idea was to copy the empi & thunderbird approach by using a jubilee clip to strap them to the rear manifolds, allowing the whole engine & exhaust sytem to move independantly from the bus. But whilst refitting the bumper I noticed that I could use the bolt hole to secure the twin R1s. The mounts are quite flexible to the hand so I am quite happy about some play. What if I was to fit some hard short springs and slacken off both top and bottom nylocks to allow greater movement but no rattle?

  3. Nice work DirtyEpic! ;) The vibration is a worry, but I reckon some hi temp rubber straps would do the trick: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130272244907&cguid=bff98a6c11d0a0e205112401ffb3ee4a
