And I get all that steel as well! Plenty for a replacement chassis for a bus! Although I might weigh it in, as I had to pay VAT on the auction price!

Next step is to get the thing moved to the marina and lifted onto the hard standing. Then the real work can begin! Watch this space ;)

ReplyDeleteIt's a new fekin Steam Engine this guy invented a couple of years ago that can rev up to 6K RPM on low pressure!! There's an 8 cylinder version in design that he reckons he could get 500BHP out of!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe crankless design means no sideways forces on the barrells (Cutting out the need for a crank case!). Also, valves open and close when the piston is stationary. The forces are being absorbed by the cetner spring and returned to each piston so no energy lost! All this adds up to a light weight, cheap, easy to maintain engine! Just a dab of oil on the one bearing and some nore O rings (That take 5 mins to replace!).
