Not unreliable just troublesome!!

You wont believe what just happened to me, I popped out in elcie to go to tescos for baccy, and she broke down on the hill, on the way up the hill!!. Fuel pump went dodgy or frozen carbs next thing I know there are police with me!!! blue lights, broken camper, traffic chaos, fluorescent jackets all got a bit too intense for my liking. But one of these officers helped me push her up the last of the hill (bloody hell is she heavy and that little bit of road seemed to go on and on) and I free wheeled down the slope to the industrial estate car park, where he helped me to push her to a parking space. Their job done they were of with the famous last words of "well thats the joy of owning a classic car, unreliability!!" drove off, so I tried her again and of course she STARTED!!!! Elcie certainly has a sense of humour!!!

Slow and steady make FAT twin R1 bus exhaust

right here we have some pictures of the beast once again, as you may remember we have been at this stage already once, and know firmly know titanium and stainless will NOT weld. ( thanks to simon) so as you can see i now need ben to turn up for a final fitting and then we can weld her up.

the debate is now that the centres look so nice would it be a shame to cover them with an alluminium cap that is painted, as a descison must be made before welding, as they are either on or off. you decide??? dont know how to do a poll or i would.

Anyone for a Beetle

Ive been offered this lovely Beetle by a fellow college tutor. Its her daughters, but of course is too much for a youngster who really just wants a "nice" car like a calibra....puke,puke!!! I want to get it for Lisa or myself, but am unsure as I dont really have the cash.(yet)!!! But it might be of interest to others!!!
