Started by stripping the old lining and padding off the old frames. Readjust the springs themselves as they sag a little after 33 years of use.
A single layer of hi density foam to cover the metal springs.
A single layer of soft foam 50mm thick. Then a layer of thick cotton sheet padding to cover and shape the foam a little.
Then the simple matter of templating your original covers in new vinyl, sewing them together, and hey presto.....new VERY comfortable seats for about £30.
Awesome! simple and effective restoration - love it, take a look at ultravw.com dude couple of nice buses on there today, single cab split and bluestar hanover in leicestershire i've enquired about it...
