That last syncro was a right lemon! OK it was a rare RHD limited late edition, but only worth about 5k max (with about 2.5k needed just to keep it roadworthy). And I really need a pickup as a daily driver, rather than another camper.

Apparently the guys had it for a couple of years and bought it off a bloke on the Isle of White where it was used in a woodland carrying charcoal around. Found this blog post from campervan culture which backs up his story:

It's had a 1.9 AAZ engine fitted. F&R diff locks (Which are seized) Hand painted in "red arrows" red over the original blue. VC is fine, apparently.
6 months MOT and Tax.
I'm off to see it next Wednesday morning as soon as he gets back off holiday.
This could be our expedition support vehicle for our great northern road trip!!
Buy it looks rock....you need to get a winch fitted though mate and some canvas at the back. Scotland early January then?
