Oil leaks.....part 456

Finally dropped my engine out this weekend to sort out numerous problems:
Threaded spark plug, Flywheel oil seal, Oil gallery plug seal, clean pressure plate & flywheel, new oil fiter etc. being the main elements.
New parts....Kush Lock uprated clutch plate.

Noticed a hairline fracture on the older 1&2 heads just between inlet and exhaust valves......I believe this damage acured when i f**ked the other head up!! Not a problem at the present!! helicoiled the spark plug thread works a treat.
Engine back in!! all connections done.

Finally NO OIL!!!!!

I've never known an aircooled engine not sweat at least a drop of oil... Even if it's from the breather ;)

  6. Not quite!!! I have noticed a significant SHIFT in performance. pULLING VERY STRONG AND CREATING FAR MORE TURBO LIKE WHINE. Still no oil from the bell housing...gear box is now looking very dry ....rest of the engine should now start to dry off.

  7. I checked the timing today at around 10 deg BTDC so i retarded it by a couple of degrees to 8 (7.5 vw factory) as to ensure im not cooking my heads??? Any thoughts on this?
